For Survivors of Sexual Violence.

SadlyNormal.org has started a new, interactive discussion on healing. Lisa is posting a strengths based question each day.

This is a GREAT way for survivors of sexual violence to share their tenacity, their passion and their creativity.

Don’t be shy, join in. It doesn't matter what country you live in, what your current circumstances are, or who your perpetrator was. This is your chance to celebrate YOUR survival. Not everything's about you, but this sure is.

Imaginif...there was a world without child sexual abuse.

Go for it Megan. Love your blog/s.

Thanks Alison and I'm glad you like my posts. So few people leave comments that I worry that child sexual abuse is just going to continue without anyone challenging the reality for so many of the world's children.
Take care and stay safe.

Hi Megan.

I came here from your comment at problogger.

Are comments really that important?

Venturing an honest opinion, your blog does seem a bit 'preachy'.

Even though I completely agree with most of what you say, having skimmed through quite a few posts i couldn't find any post where I felt invited to discuss or comment on anything in a way that would add any value - thus this rather crudely off-topic comment here - sorry.

Maybe you could consider asking a few questions, some of the most active blogs have a way of always including a question or something controversial.

From a slightly different angle something that did occur to me was that maybe you want to consider adding some 'other voices' to your blog, specifically, the voices of children, either stuff from kids in general or from 'victims'.

Again though, blogs are not about comments though they can be great for a blogger's morale – the important thing is why you blog, and what you are trying to achieve.

I don't feel comments are all that big a deal.

Hi Andre
great and honest feedback, almost an analysis. Thank you.

Comments make for good discussion, and I like to have some discussion on protecting kids. Less than 1% of readers leave comments apparently, so I can live with that.

I take your point about posts being a bit preachy. I'll work on your suggestion of being more inviting to readers. I do apologise to readers if I have turned you off by preaching. Let me know guys because I want to enhance the importance of discussion around child safety, not drive people away, screaming.

Love your idea of adding kids voices. There's many sites I support that provide a voice to survivors (like the one referred to in this post)so I'll leave that to them. But the kids stuff is a GREAT idea. Thank you.

I do particularly like your "About This (Un)Blog. I had a good chuckle reading it.

Take care Andre and thanks for taking the time to stop in and give me some feedback.
